I am in the process of planning our Disney vacation for September and we will also be taking a cruise out of Port Canaveral. Paying $15 a day to park at the port just seemed too high for me and would make a dent in anyone’s budget. Last year we chose to stay the night before at the Radisson and took advantage of their cruise and sail package, but this year we will be staying the night before at Fort Wilderness.
I started doing some searching and found there are a few places near the port that offer a parking package that will save me a lot of money. Park N Cruise I have heard great reviews from. They charge only $4.99 a day if you reserve your trip prior to arrival. This is a 75% savings. This is definitely how to take a Disney Cruise on a budget. The other place I found while searching was Park-N-Sail and they are located in Coco, Florida, and they charge $6.50 a night. I plan to try out Park N Cruise if they have availability and hope to have a smooth and pleasant experience.
Update: 9/21/2011 I went online to reserve a parking spot for our upcoming cruise and now both places listed are charging $6.99 a day
Update: 10/4/2011 I just returned from a cruise and prices are now $7.99 a day, quite a jump from the $4.99 just a few days ago.
