If you are using the Disney Dining Plan and want to make the most out of your snack credit consider taking a trip to Downtown Disney to Goofy’s Candy Co. The store is colorful and full of candy and baked goods. My family has had a fun time lately creating different cake pops. On my last visit in February 2012, I had to purchase a Mickey Mouse Cake Pop and it was delightful and a great way to use a snack credit. Retail without a snack credit is $4.95.
The Create-Your-Own-Treat option at Goofy’s Candy Co. used to be part of the snack credit but is no longer offered. However, it makes for a great treat. My daughter and I each did a rice krispie treat covered with many items and it took us days to eat. It is definitely a good bang for your buck.
To create your own:
Choose the base of your treat:specialty apple, three pretzel rods, four marshmallows, a gingerbread Mickey cookie, a Mickey Krispy Rice treat, or a fudge cookie (with vanilla, chocolate or peanut butter filling).
Next: Select your favorite dipping flavor:: white chocolate, dark chocolate or milk chocolate.
The best part is to now add your toppings. A few available include: Sprinkles, peanut butter chips, chopped peanuts, chopped walnuts, sliced almonds, cinnamon & sugar, dark & white chocolate chips, crushed Oreo cookie crumbs, crushed Butterfinger, Reese’s Pieces, coconut, graham cracker crumbs or mini M&Ms.
Last but not least: Have it drizzled with your favorite topping.milk chocolate, white chocolate or dark chocolate.
